Q. Why is protecting with X-100 Natural Seal® Finishes
considered better than paints or stains?
A. X-100 Natural Seal® Finishes last longer when compared to
most paints and stains. X-100 Natural Seal® maintains a more brilliant magnification of color. X-100 Natural
Seal® exhibits outstanding water repellency and protects wood.
Q. How can I achieve longer color fastness on exterior finishes?
A. It has been an industry known fact that a two step system extends color longevity in the use of exterior finishes.
ABRP, Inc., has developed X-100 Natural Seal® Pre Finish as the first step of this two step system. While X-100
Natural Seal® Pre Finish stabilizes the wood, the second coat of any X-100 Natural Seal® Finish
protects the wood finish for extended color fastness for years to come.
Q. When is reapplication recommended?
A. Depending on the wood conditions, reapplication is recommended every three to five years or longer on vertical surfaces.
For horizontal surfaces, (i.e. walking surfaces) more frequent maintenance applications may be required. Product duration and water repellency
depends upon texture of wood (rough cut or smooth cut) and geographical climate conditions. X-100 Natural Seal® was
concluded to be highly rated for product duration, water repellency, and color maintenance.
Q. My deck is dirty. Is it ruined?
A. No. You MUST clean your deck with X-180 Weathered Wood Restorer™. You would not go without washing your kitchen
floor for a year. It is a similar situation. Deck maintenance is essential. Clean your deck as needed. Reapply a thin maintenance coat
of X-100 Natural Seal® Deck Finish to walking surfaces, if necessary.
